Uh oh.
Here it comes.
I fell asleep with the baby and missed evening Mass, woke up not knowing where I was, or what time of day...legs and back achy, eyes burning, throat and ears unhappy...and I have a big nasty hearing in the morning.
Ah, Kit, I just got over mine. The flu sucks. See fn.[2] in my posting on how I spent my Sunday afternoon for an example of a conversation with a person stricken with the flu.
Thank you, my friends...I am fighting it off. Still feel achy and tired, but functional.
Went to the dreaded hearing, which took all of 3 minutes after a weekend of prepping (the judge needs more briefing, so "adjourned" it - not a "continuance" like we said in CA, so I had a temporary internal freak-out until I remembered this is one of the subtle mysteries of NY legal vernacular).
I am sitting here with a nice cold hard apple cider enjoying the balmy 60* weather. Tomorrow, an ice storm cometh.

Oh Kit, sorry you're not feeling well. Hope you're much better in the morning.

ReplyDeleteThe flu is horrible.
Hope you can get some rest, sleep and LOADS O' DRUGS.

P.S. Hey Digi...got a bit nostalgic re: Riverside. Sounds like you had a "titillating" experience? (Snort!)
