Here we go...

Lent is around the corner and I just got off the scale.

Yowza!

I bake when I'm worried or sad, plus I've been feeding an extra large male child all week (break week around here), so I have been very very bad this past week.

Guess I know what I'll be foregoing this year...

Yep, hard core food plan time here. Sigh. It sucks that sugar tastes good and works like an emotional bandaid. Haha.

Scales should be banned! And full length mirrors! And those skinny, stick figure models in magazines. Do I hurry and eat all the leftover Halloween candy or put it in the freezer until Lent is over? Just (partially) kidding, of course. Can't believe Ash Wednesday is this week.

Eat standing up. No calories that way ;-)

I like Dr. K's reasoning. I think I should apply that to how I live my life. From now on: if it feels good, do it! The heck with the consequences!!!

...oh...wait...that's been done...

Kit - I haven't stepped on a scale since the wedding. At this point I think it's morphed into full-on phobia...especially since a doctor friend gave us one of those nifty "and THIS is what percentage of your body is FAT, you pig!" scales as a wedding gift. (It was our own fault - we registered for it...)

Can I just give up fasting and penence?
