But the fellow at Lair of the Catholic Caveman..Vir Speluncae Catholicae ... has a different point of view.

He suggests that the Bishop is only upset because Fr. Cutie had sex with a WOMAN. The Bishop apparently is known for having a gay-friendly diocese. Caveman cites disturbing incidences but doesn't prove his case.

I have, though, heard a priest say that it was discouraging to heterosexual priests struggling with celibacy when their gay counterparts took vacations with their lovers and no one thought anything of it.

It would be much more satisfying to take Bishop Favalora's statement at face value, but, things are seldom what they seem.
