I try to look at this from a psychological perspective and wonder exactly what went through the mind of the imbecile who thought this type of thing was appropriate. Subsequently, I wonder what other aspects of that person's life is inflicted with the consequences of their misjudgement.
Oh, Kit, my buddy Fr. John always gets a kick when I send him videos of liturgical dance - you KNOW I have got to send him this one, since this tops even dance!
The ringleader of this charade needs to be severely chastised - that's who I'd punch - at the very least, I'd show him what a millstone looks like.
It is never wrong to smack a mime. To smack a mime in a church is positively a virtue.
I would even go so far as to say that smacking a mime gets you time off in purgatory!
