All right - tonight we officially have our first snow here in the middle of nowhere, NY. Thanksgiving is coming up, then Advent, then Christmas...it's on! So, in the spirit of camaraderie and to provide some variety in all of our holiday menus, I propose a blog holiday potluck recipe exchange. Consider it a meme. And if you're reading this, you're tagged!
I've posted a new favorite (and easy) pork roast recipe over at my Brookside Bistro blog, and I invite you all to click on over and add a favorite holiday recipe to the comments (you can do it here, too). I'll post them all individually with backlinks to your blog.
C'mon...it'll be fun! Or would you rather watch the news?
;-)
P.S. Guys, favorite beer brands don't count. Talk to your brides, your moms, your parishioners - they'll hook you up!

I'm in - once I confirm the details of it with my seester, I will post our recipe for candied sweet potatoes.
(Hey - I've never cooked a holiday meal! The most I've done is peel potatoes or de-can and slice that jellied cranberry sauce! I'm doing pretty well to even know what candied sweet potatoes ARE! :-p )
BTW, Kit, please be sure to post that Tuscan bread soup recipe...I registered for a cloche pan... :-)
I LOVE cooking a Thnkasgiving meal, and this year want to incorporate a little Southern style cooking. Kit, do you have a recipe for fried green tomatoes?
Kasia - I will indeed post the Zuppa recipe...or what is left of it.
Digi - I do indeed, but must find it amidst the chewed up remains of my original book. It's from a Southern friend from our USMC days.
Oh, I can make some mean biscuits, taught to me by a good, ol' boy from 'Bama while he and I served together down at Ft. Sill, OK!
I'm in too - but it seems like Kasia has stolen my recipe idea - although my sweet potato recipe is not so much candied as it is more of a praline-style.
Yes, ladies, this man cooks. And I ain't just talkin' about barbecue or crockpots either. I own a high speed mixer, and I'm not afraid to use it!
I'd like to see your recipe, Larry - I'm a huge sweet potato fan... :-)
Alrighty then - I'll post it on the Bistro side later tonight
I'm good for a recipe...a think I have a good French Silk Pie recipe that I can share. Will try to dig it up this weekend and post back here. Am really running this week, so am shooting for this weekend :)
